1,2,3…For  was on view at MassMOCA in the exhibition “Suffering From Realness” in May 2019-Feb 2020. I created four marks on four walls in the exhibition painted in a neon “green screen” green. Each mark corresponded with the numbers 1 (a hole in the wall that created a 16ft crack), 2 (two satellite dishes painted ultramarine installed across from one another), 3 (a wooden wand splitting an iron sword to form the trinity of a cross), and 4 (the four green walls). At the center of the installation hung a kinetic sculpture from the ceiling that moved a 8ft copper wand in a 1,2,3, & 4 conductor’s tempo. Below this, I installed a _______  stone in the floor. At 30ft x 40ft, this installation surrounded viewers.

Responding to the exhibition’s title, I intended the installation to comment on the human aspect to construct reality (reflected in the green screen wall paintings) and story, while also flattering seen and unseen esoteric influences.
